Government bans marriage without birth certificate

The government has banned people getting married would not have a birth certificate from the May Day this year.

Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister, Dr. Harrison Mwakyembe said this today while on tour in Morogoro, adding that the government has decided to do so in order to get accurate statistics on its citizens to support the planning of development in tandem to prevent smuggled aliens entering the country.
